1 Corinthians 13:13

Such a lovely evening as we celebrated two sweet people and their sixty years of marriage, my grandparents.

Today was their 60th wedding anniversary!!!- YES, I said SIXTY! It is so crazy to think that they've been together for so long. I hope that my husband and I can one day celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary and still be so deeply in love with one another, like these two.

Since they got married in 1955, we decided to have a 50's theme party. We enjoyed a little dressing up as well.

Some more fun pictures of the evening.

Isn't he a stud?? 💕 😍

Some fun party decorations:
Ice cream/sundae bar!
I decorated the candy table and needless to say I was on a sugar high afterwards.

 Love my sweet grandparents:

Ending the evening with a sweet love note mamaw wrote papaw and sealing it with a 💋.

Everyone deserves a love like these two:

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Happy Labor Day!

Ahhhhhhhh... My four day vacation has come to an end.... Nothing too sweet about that! But, I did have a sweet time with hubby (and friends) alllllll weekend.

 Friday, I had many "first."
I enjoyed my first ever 22+ mile yard sale.
Seriously, it was a two person job, but I went alone and ended up with some great deals!!
Red leather coat for fall $3
A blue jean jacket that I've spent all year searching for......$3
(Bad quality picture, sorry) but, I got a quilted, leather vest for $1! I promise it's a lot cuter styled then laying on this floor!
I also got the cutest (two) royal blue tops! Each $2!
Also ended up with the cutest ruffle pants, ever!! I guess you could say that I'm more than ready for the fall weather to be here!

Another first that happened on Friday was my first ever crawfish boil... Which was very interesting to say the least...
I don't know about you.... But these things are so creepy!!!!- but...... Good!;)

Saturday hubs and I literally spent all day cleaning..... And cleaning some more! But, afterwards we did enjoy a freshly cleaned home and some time with friends

Sunday was accompanied with some great friends and a wonderful church service ......
And  later that night accompanied by another set of friends who... got engaged!!! (YAY!)
... Super exciting weekend!

And to top it all off! We spent our actual Labor Day putting in labor hours in our kitchen! We have white cabinets that I (thought I would) love....until I daily had to keep whipping them down (because they didn't have hardware and got black and dirty, constantly). So, today we broke down and bought hardware for the cabinets and drawers....and, I'm obsessed!

You know you're becoming an adult when handle pulls and door knobs excite you.

Before:
After:
Nothing major, but, it's enough to keep me happy! ......About as happy as these cute vintage salt and pepper shakers make me!! :)
They came from a local shop called The Makery in, Manchester, Ky! Seriously, the neatest place!

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. Have a blessed week!

"Fall Decor for cheap"-Front Porch.

It doesn't feel like fall outside.... one bit!!!!! But, like I've said before and I will continue to say over and over again.... I'm impatient. I seriously couldn't stand to look at all my fall stuff in the counter of my basement, any longer.... So, I drug it all out this morning.... (After I got back from my first ever 22+ mile yard sale. Which will be on the blog later...)

A few (cheap) diy crafts for fall:

Burlap!!!!- I simply took an old window, measured each window frame, cut three pieces of burlap, stenciled the saying I wanted with paint, hot glued the burlap on the inside if the window corners... And BAM!!- look how fun and easy that was!!

The same task was done for the "boo ladder." I measured a piece of burlap, cut it out three times, stenciled each letter, cut a hole, tied the burlap to the bar with some raffia, and boom! Another simple, easy and did I mention....cute fall decor?!

Extra wood laying around the house?- Grab it!!!!! Don't toss it!!!- Paint one side orange, hot glue a stick to the top, wrap a raffia bow around it and you have yourself another cheap and easy fall piece!!- A wooden pumpkin!

Hubby calls it my "witch broom"... But, I call it the best peddlers mall find, ever!- $3 for that adorable stick broom..

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.
